Vaquita Viva App

Vaquita Viva is a mobile-first MVP designed to empower users to report illegal fishing activities and help protect the world’s most endangered marine mammal. This project focuses on accessibility, simplicity, and user engagement to drive real-world action for conservation.

The Product:

The vaquita is the smallest and most endangered cetacean, threatened by illegal fishing in the Upper Gulf of California. To help protect it, we will develop a cross-platform that allows users to easily report suspicious fishing activities, empowering citizen action from any device.

My Role:

Responsible for the UX design throughout all stages of the project, from the initial idea to final implementation.

Responsibilities:

Conducting interviews, developing wireframes both on paper and digitally, designing prototypes at various levels of fidelity, carrying out usability testing, integrating accessibility principles, and continuously improving the designs through iterations.
